Flower School in New York

While in New York last week on a trip with the Chapel Designers (the most amazing group of women...I will blog more about them later!), I took a class with one of my floral crushes, Ariella Chezar. It was a class focusing on hand tied wedding bouquets. Her style is very rooted in nature, romantic, loose, and all about color balance and texture. I am in love with the bouquet that I created in her class. Oh, how I miss it so! I started with a base of velvety dusty miller and pink wax flower and then I added majolica spray roses, quick sand roses (a beige rose with a lavender undertone that opens beautifully and is super pretty!) lavender parrot tulips, white ranunculus, lavender ranunculus, white anemones, and amazing bi-color pink carnations. I completed the look with passion flower vine and jasmine vine woven into the bouquet as well as trailing to create a loose, natural look. This bouquet smelled so unbelievably wonderful!!

These are pics that I took, so they are not the best.  The bouquet was ten times prettier in person.
